Back to School Backpacks

Our goal is to collect 101 new backpacks for children in Kindergarten - 5th grade. We are asking for donations of new, neutral-colored backpacks to be brought to the church by July 10. Other churches will be providing other school supplies, clothing, shoes, snacks, etc.  This is a joint project with Farmville United Methodist Church and the Family Advocates in our county and city school systems to help under-resourced families in Gordon County.
Monica Holt has volunteered to give free haircuts to students on the 31st. as well. Above all, please pray for the children of Gordon County for a safe and happy new school year.  Contact Dianne West or Sandy Barton if you have questions.
